Meet Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj's "Threat"

Iggy Azalea

There is a saying that everything on earth shall come to pass and it seems like Nicki Minaj is having a hard time accepting this reality. Nicki Minaj by far is one of the iconic female rappers in the world and she has had a great career. It seems like Nicki being the queen of hiphop has gotten this into her head and the "Queen" is now really angry at the arrival of Iggy Azalea, an Australian rapper who came out this year.

Amethyst Amelia Kelly (born 7 June 1990), better known by her stage name Iggy Azalea , is an Australian recording artist and model from Mullumbimby, New South Wales. She left for the United States at the age of 16, to pursue a career in hip hop music, first residing in Miami, Florida, and then other parts of the South, including Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. She first gained recognition after the respective music videos for her controversial songs "Pu$$y" and "Two Times" went viral on YouTube. In September 2011, she released her debut mixtape Ignorant Art and subsequently aligned herself with Atlanta-based rapper T.I.. In March 2012, T.I. announced Azalea's signing to his record label imprint Grand Hustle, as a result she released an EP executive produced by T.I., titled Glory, in July 2012. She later went into professional modeling, when she became represented by Wilhelmina Models and was announced the "New Face of Levi Jeans". Also in 2012, Azalea became the first female and non-American rapper to be featured on XXL's annual Top 10 Freshman cover issue.

After label conflicts, her debut studio album The New Classic was finally released on 21 April 2014, under Virgin EMI and Def Jam Recordings. The album debuted inside the top five of several charts worldwide and received generally mixed reviews. The album was preceded by four singles, "Work", "Bounce", "Change Your Life" (featuring T.I.) and "Fancy" (featuring Charli XCX). "Fancy" went on to reach number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, with Azalea becoming only the fourth solo female rapper ever to top the Hot 100. Additionally, with Azalea featured on Ariana Grande's single "Problem", which rose to number two on the Hot 100, the same week "Fancy" topped the chart, Azalea joined English rock band The Beatles, as the only acts to rank at numbers one and two simultaneously with their first two Hot 100 hits.[3] Additionally, Azalea went on to pass Lil' Kim, as the female rapper with the longest-leading number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 and moved into a tie for fifth place, among lead women who have scored the longest commands on the Hot 100 this decade.

Iggy Azalea is making a lot of money from her album and gracing the covers of magazine. Her biggest by far is covering Billboard Magazine.  Just few days ago, Iggy has been announced to join the cast of "Fast and Furious 7" that will be released in the year 2015. Iggy has also been nominated for the Best Female Rapper in this years Teens Choice Awards and her music video for her song Fancy has also received nominations at the MTV Music Video Awards. Apart from these too she has a great body. Her choice of outifts too for her live performances and concerts too has got a lot of people talking.

Nicki Minaj announced to the world her dislike for Iggy Azalea's popularity by throwing some shade at Iggy Azalea when she received her award at the just ended BET Awards. In her acceptance speech she stated "When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, it it her own spit and thank you BET for continuing to honour authencity". This got the whole crowd screaming and it made waves on tabloids the next day with everyone speculating that, that was meant for Iggy. This is because it has been rumoured that T.I writes most of her songs for her. It hasn't been proven yet that this rumour is true.

Cool down Nicki it's just a game and everyone is trying hard to get to the top of the ladder. You kicked someone out of their place when you came in and you don't expect there to be forever, it's just facts of life. Iggy is also not going to enjoy all the fame she is receiving now. Definitely, it will cool down. You're both great rappers and lyricists in your own way and you're still my best rapper by far. The world still loves you.
