Noella Wiyaala (27 )was born in Wa, Upper West Ghana as one of four sisters and raised in Tumu. She got first singing lessons from her mother, a choir singer, and she has performed ever since she was 5 years old.Her surname, which she picked for a stage name, means "the doer" in her native Sisaala language.She has attended Takoradi Polytechnic and studied art and design course.

In 2011 she auditioned for Ghana’s own “Stars of the Future” and earned her way into the finals, winning two Golden Moments awards. With her grave ambition to make it, she didn't stop there went ahead to take part in the 2012 Vodafone ICONS Mixed Edition contest which she won as part of the Ghanaian band Black N Peach, while singing Tina Turner's "Simply The Best". The Band released their debut song "Wonkoa" accompanied by a video. Their song didnot really make an impact on the Ghanaian market.
She left the Black N Peach band during April 2013 to pursue a solo career with Djimba World Records. She released her first song "Make Me Dance" with a great video and later released anothe single "Rock My Body" ft Jupiter.

Her music style has been described as Afro-pop or Afro-rock with elements of tribal folk music while the latest single "Rock My Body", released in June 2013 together with Ghanaian reggae singer Jupitar leans more towards reggae and dancehall. Wiyaala cited as an inspiration the 1969 song "Wreck A Buddy" by Nora Dean and The Soul Sisters. She has also released a latex single entitled "Go! Go! Black Stars" as an official blackstars world cup song.

Not only is she a brand ambassador for Pepsi but since 2013, she has been the face of IGNITE!Ghana, a donation-funded project started in August 2013 by Jeremy Feight and Michael Bamfo to promote the education of Ghanaian youth in the subject of the country’s traditional music and culture.[13] During the IGNITE!Ghana's team tour of the country, local Ghanaian musicians and dancers will perform at schools around the country, teaching the children traditional songs and dances. There will also be a series of free concerts for the public, where Jeremy Feight will distribute donated clothing, food and medicine to the locals. The information and video footage collected during IGNITE!Ghana performances will be used to create a textbook and video documentary that will later be distributed to Ghanaian schools and universities as an education tool.
Wiyaala made her TV acting debut in late 2013 in the Viasat 1 hit comedy series MultiKoloured.Her music videos for her single's "Make Me Dance" and "Rock My Body" were nominted in 2012 and 2013 for Best Discovery of the Year and Best Reggae/Dancehall Video of the year at the annual 4syte Music Video Awards respectively.
