Whose Birthday Is Up?

It is an unhidden fact that birthday's are one of the special days in people's lives where in most cases they gather their friends, families, loved ones and share this special day with them. It stands as a transition of life where one grows and moves from one stage to another. A birthday is a day that comes once a year when a person celebrates the anniversary of his or her birth. Birthdays are celebrated in numerous cultures, often with a gift, party, or rite of passage.

In most legal systems, one becomes designated as an adult on a particular birthday (often between 12 and 21), and reaching age-specific milestones confers particular rights and responsibilities. At certain ages, one may become eligible to leave full-time education, or become subject to military conscription or to enlist in the military, to consent to sexual intercourse, to marry, to marry without parental consent, to vote, to run for elected office, to legally purchase (or consume) alcohol and tobacco products, to purchase lottery tickets, or to obtain a driver's license. The age of majority is the age when minors cease to legally be considered children and assume control over their persons, actions, and decisions, thereby terminating the legal control and legal responsibilities of their parents or guardian over and for them. Most countries set majority at 18.

This is the time where on such occasions, lovers get the platform to do anything special for their loved ones. Birthday's are very essential especially to the ladies and a man would be in hot waters if he forgets his girlfriends birthday or refuses to do anything special for her. Failure to do so can even wreck a relationship in some cases. Friends and families also get the chance to show their love and care.

Birthdays are celebrated in diverse ways. It ranges from been taken out to a quiet and nice place, receiving gifts, throwing a party yourself for friends, getting surprise parites thrown for you etc. etc. People who are lucky enough to be born on Valentines Day are shown a lot of love from their partners (if they have any), from their friends and family. You could ask a lady whose birthday falls on the Valentines Day and you would be intrigued with the amount of joy that day brings to her.

 I would label birthdays as "Messages and Gift Giving Day" because messages and gifts giving is the constant thing a person knows he/she would receive on his/her birthday before any other thing comes into mind.
