Beyoncé Leads the MTV VMA Nominations Because She Does

MTV has announced the nominations for this year's Video Music Awards and, obviously, Beyoncé leads the pack with eight nominations, including Video of the Year. With her surprise released album with great tunes and exquisite accompanying music videos, why won't she lead the nominations? Three of her 2014 music videos have made it on the chat. Eminem follows closely behind with seven nominations, tied with newcomer Iggy Azelea. Azalea is not this year's only breakout star to grab multiple VMA nominations, Sam Smith and Ariana Grande both picked up nominations as well. There is no mention of Rihanna or Nicki Minaj and it shouldn't come as a surprise though. Rihanna hasn't done a lot this year and well Nicki Minaj's music video for her hit song "Pills and Potions" is nothing to write about which came as a shock and a dissapointment to all her fans.
