Heckler gets booted from Chicago show for flipping the bird.
Under no circumstances will Lauryn Hill be
allowing fans to disrespect her. Ms. Hill kicked an audience members
out of her show in Chicago for heckling and flipping her off, TMZ reports.
"When I get up on this stage, don't be disrespectful,"
she's said in a fan-recorded video from the show. "It's alright you can
go, I would prefer that. You not gon' mess up my vibe for the rest of
these people, you not gon' do that. So if you gon' go please get up, get
your money refunded and go. I'm alright with that."
The audience member may have been agitated because Hill
didn't hit the stage until an hour after the concert was supposed to
start. Tardiness aside, the New Jersey singer/rapper wasted no time
putting the rowdy fan on blast. "Excuse me, there's a gentleman over
there who just did something I don't like," she said in the mic to
security. "Can you please escort him out and refund his money? I don't
play that."
As the crowd booed and cheered, Hill explained herself. "I
don't need to win you over and you don't need to win me over," said the
mother of six. "You can go and take all your money back. I do this
because I love it, not because I owe you anything… and you can get on
your blogs, Tweet, whatever you want to. I don't give a rat's a--."
Hill has been touring for most of the summer. After she
wraps up dates in the states, the "Consumerism" singer will tour
overseas with stops in Spain, Croatia, Germany and the U.K.
